This 5 dl measuring cup made of stainless steel is produced in Sweden at DaloLindén's Motala factory, where stainless steel products have been manufactured ever since 1947. DaloLindén's introductory video introduces viewers to the production in Motala.
The measuring cup is made of stainless steel, 18/10 grade AISI 304 (corresponding to grade EN 1.4301), and contains about 18% chromium and 10% nickel. The raw material is of European origin and has a recycled material content of approximately 80–90%. It is a high quality steel that lasts well in many environments. It is easy to keep clean, is suitable for food use and withstands temperatures from -20 °C to 250 °C. It is also dishwasher safe, but the manufacturer does not recommend using their stainless steel products in microwave ovens.
The measuring cup is part of DaloLindén's Jonas kitchen product series. DaloLindén's products are of high quality and well finished, and they are made to last.
The cup’s outer diameter across the top (without the handle) is 12,3 cm and its height is 9 cm. Inside the cup you find both the European and the American measurement scale on opposite sides. The European scale has five graduations at intervals of a deciliter, with the lowermost being marked “0.1” and the uppermost being marked “0.5 L”. The American scale has four graduations marked “0.5”, “1”, “1.5” and “2 CUP”. The measuring cup has a small spout. The container's open handle is also convenient, as it enables several measuring cups to be stacked inside each other.
The cup is also a handy small container when you go to the garden to pick a small amount of berries or herbs. Thanks to its wide base the cup doesn’t tip over easily.
Stainless steel products made in Europe are a rarity these days and we are therefore particularly pleased to have this quality product of Swedish origin in our product range. Stainless steel products are further a good example of circular economy, with their high recycled content and full recyclability without any quality degradation.
