Who we are
The person behind the business is Regine Adje, a middle-aged mother who lives on a small farm in Southern Finland where she collects wild plants and berries, grows her own vegetables and cares for a wide variety of fruit trees and berry bushes. She lives in a more than a hundred-year-old log house that is heated with wood and features a compost toilet. She is a psychologist and self-taught organic farmer who got the spark for founding Ekovekotin* from her own desire to lead a natural and sustainable lifestyle that is as self-sufficient as possible. She had problems finding suitable products and appliances for this lifestyle, which gave rise to the idea to collect products she had found useful in one place so that others could benefit from them as well. Regine has lived in different countries, speaks Finnish, German, English and French and is happy to serve anybody interested in the topic. Don’t hesitate to be in touch if you have any questions!
*Ekovekotin is a Finnish word-creation of Regine’s that can be freely translated as ecological gadget.
